d is for...

The choice was hers

Drama drama drama!

The last few weeks have been pretty mad for us.
It feels like everything has been turned upside down and we're just adjusting to how different things are.

Firstly I decided I just couldn't bare to work full time in an office anymore.
There are other things I want to do and I've felt at a standstill because I had no time or energy to try anything else.
I'm lucky enough to be with someone who will support me and wants me to do what will make me happy. To be honest, I don't think he could cope with my moping for much longer either.
So,I walked into work that Monday with my letter of notice in my shaking hands and explained to my boss that I wanted something with less hours. He completely unexpectedly told me he didn't want me to leave and I could reduce my hours if it meant staying! I didn't even think it would be an option, and I really do like where I work so it's the perfect outcome.

Secondly we decided that after years of wanting and dreaming and discussing we were ready for a new arrival.
With me working less hours we could manage it, so we told family and friends and started planning...

..I found a few litters of puppies on the internet and we went to view some one evening.
The deposit was put down and and we had two weeks until we could bring home a tiny baby Harvey!

The day before we were picking him up we were in full puppy mode with the pen all set up and me bouncing around with excitement.
Then a letter came through the door from our Landlord giving us 2 months notice to leave the house.
Cue hysterical crying from me that we were going to be homeless and we couldn't have Harvey anymore and what would we do?!?!

Everyone kept telling me how these things always happen for a reason, but I don't believe that.
I think that bad things and good things are always going to happen in life, and the only thing you have any control over is how you deal with them when they arise.

To cut a long story short, its 4 weeks later and we have a baby Harvey who's not such a baby anymore and we're living in a newer house 15 minutes up the road that has real central heating and not a million damp problems.

I'll be doing a proper blog post on the puppy this week and how fun but terrible they are.
Now that he's not peeing absolutely everywhere and we are all moved in to the new place now I can start working on different things, I have lots of things planned on the lead up to Christmas to look forward to and looking back at a few of my favourite things from this year!
